Agate and malachite have been seen in homes and palaces for a very long time. These semi-precious stones are used in fashion, jewelry and also home decor. Although these natural stones are technically two different things, they can give you similar styling in your home. Let's look at a few ways you can bring these beautiful, natural elements into your home decor.

Agate can be found in many retailers and in many different ways. ZGallerie currently hosts everything from artwork to coasters.
They can add a wonderful pop of color!

I personally love some of the artwork that is inspired by agate stones.
Agate is not to be confused with malachite...another beautiful design used in homes. Malachite has been utilized for centuries by the wealthy to adorn their homes and palaces. As an architectural feature or table tops, bathtubs or decorative boxes, this stone is a delight to the eyes.

The inspiring Brenda Houston has created a line of wallcoverings showcasing her stone patterns.
The bergere chairs in this fabulous room are upholstered in a lovely emerald malachite pattern.
This look may not be for everyone, but it is certainly worth noting.
You just might fall for it...as so many others have in the past.
